Role Overview
As a Network Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to identify and address network‑related issues, contribute to network design discussions, and implement best practices to support our growing technology needs.
- Network Design & Maintenance
:
Assist in designing, configuring, and maintaining LAN/WAN/wireless networks, including hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs. - Monitoring & Troubleshooting
:
Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity and latency issues, and perform disaster recovery, backups, and restores. - Security & Documentation
:
Collaborate on implementing security measures (firewalls, IDS, access controls), ensure change‑management compliance, and maintain detailed documentation. - Technical Support & Planning
:
Support administrators and developers, guide junior team members, and contribute to capacity planning and network expansion. - Technology Integration & Inventory
:
Evaluate new networking technologies, maintain inventory and warranty data, and manage voice/data circuits and cabling.
- Education & Experience
:
Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science preferred; minimum 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer. - Technical Expertise
:
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network security principles, and hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and tools such as Cisco IOS, ACS, WCS, WLC, MARS, and Stealth Watch. - Professional Skills
:
Excellent problem‑solving abilities, effective communication, and strong collaboration skills in fast‑paced environments.
- CCNP Routing and Switching required
- CCNP Wireless or CCNP Voice preferred
