Field Support Representative – Diagnostics
Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managers working as a Field Support Representative (FSR) for Diagnostics will work collaboratively with an internal team to develop strategies and maintain customer accounts through education and other customer‑centric solutions. This is a highly dynamic, customer‑facing role where you will travel extensively, build relationships, solve problems, and support customer success.

Responsibilities- Travel up to 75% of the time (5+ days of car travel per week and 6–8+ overnights per month); weekend hours and weekday overtime may also be required.
- Install and train clinic staff on the proper use of IDEXX analyzers (e.g., Pro Cyte, Catalyst One, Sedi Vue, InVue).
- Provide onsite technical troubleshooting during critical customer visits.
- Work remotely from a home‑based office.
- Plan and strategize customer visits using a variety of programs to act as a true IDEXX Ambassador and trusted partner.
- Manage your schedule based on the unique attributes and needs of your customers while focusing on personal professional development and growth.
- 3+ years of experience working in a veterinary practice or similar setting.
- Familiarity with IDEXX products.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Residency in the Athens, GA area with willingness to travel within the territory; relocation may be required for out‑of‑territory visits.
- Strong relationship‑building skills to gain trust from customers and peers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with customers, management, and colleagues.
- Planning and prioritization skills to make timely, quality decisions.
- Effective listening skills to understand customer needs and adapt approach.
- Comfort with technology, including computers, tablets, and smartphones (computer networking experience is a plus).
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and carrying up to 60 pounds; including extending, reaching, and manipulating objects.
- Specific vision and hearing abilities: close vision, color vision, depth perception, hearing acuity sufficient for communication.
- Effective verbal communication in English.
- Capacity to travel and work within assigned area, drive long periods, and interact with animals.
- Hourly rates targeting $30–$35 per hour, based on experience.
