Cloud Solutions Engineer SME

Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Cloud Solutions Engineer SME to provide technical systems and network engineering software development support to the Army's Big Data Platform (BDP), Gabriel Nimbus (GN).

Location:

Fort Gordon, GA.

• Interface and support Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER)'s Technical Warfare Center (TWC) to develop and implement concepts and requirements for full-spectrum Cyberspace operations.
• Cloud architecture/planning for the GN Big Data Platform (BDP).
• Iterate with customers on requirements.
• Manage user/customer (data scientists) access.
• Establish and maintain the containerized environment with an entry mechanism, notebook environment (like Jupyter Hub), script server, and persistence using AWS S3.

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA;
  Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA;
  Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D; 20 years with HS diploma
• Experience in Dev Sec Ops , IAC, K8S/Docker, AWS EC2/S3/IAM, networking, routing, with a working knowledge of POSIX Shell, BASH, Python.
• Requires the knowledge and experience to build an environment that consists of several VMs on AWS.
• Requires the ability to maintain the network route and pro-grammatically switch for different data scraping tasks.
• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph or the ability to obtain Polygraph and MEAD clearance.
• U.S Citizenship required.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
