Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division at Georgia State University seeks a highly skilled IT Support Specialist, Associate to provide timely troubleshooting and technical assistance for classroom technology, ensuring minimal instructional disruptions. The role includes on‑site support to faculty and students and requires knowledge of Service Now ticketing system, Windows/Mac platforms, and desired experience with Crestron & Q‑SYS.
Key Responsibilities- Report status of technology issues through tools such as Service Now, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other communication tools.
- Support resolution of Help Tickets for technology requests or incident reports.
- Procure and maintain products, supplies, and inventory lists including surplus.
- Provide equipment demonstrations of devices and services, including tours of IT/AV enabled spaces.
- Maintain customer and vendor relationships.
- Provide direct student and temporary employee support of IT/AV enabled spaces.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Engage in moderate to heavy lifting, as needed.
- Work flexible and evening hours as required.
- Occasional travel to satellite campuses as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Service Now experience.
- Experience in IT/AV enabled spaces.
- Experience working in educational settings.
- Experience providing technical support.
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification.
- Excellent work ethic.
