Role Characteristics

Executes purchase orders and routine sourcing activities
Solicits quotes and conducts bid evaluations

May assist with planning and reviewing work of procurement specialists when appropriate

Essential Functions

Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier.

Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions, and where appropriate supports the establishment of long‑term agreements such as Master Orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements.

Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met.

Monitors supplier performance and resolves issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.

Ensures procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards.

Collaborates with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.

Maintains accurate procurement records and supports audits and reporting requirements.

Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Undergoes a credit history check from a national credit bureau for all candidates for this position, including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
2+ years of procurement experience in a regulated manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or industrial environment is required.
Experience soliciting supplier quotations, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, and managing supplier performance.
Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms while supporting quality and operational objectives.
