Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Inventory Controller to lead and optimize inventory and transportation coordination between vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end VMI operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, on-time delivery performance, and continuous process improvement across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in logistics operations, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to proactively manage carrier performance, inventory flow, and exception handling in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily VMI operations to ensure optimal inventory levels and uninterrupted supply flow.
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries aligned with scheduled appointments.
  • Monitor shipment status, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide real-time visibility and reporting to management.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, including delays, no-shows, and capacity constraints.
  • Analyze transportation and shipment data to identify trends, including high-frequency carrier performance issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with LX Pantos WH Standards, safety standards, and hazardous materials handling requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams to improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Support and implement system enhancements within SAP, WMS, TMS and related logistics platforms.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Korean and English (Required) / Spanish (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
  • Proven experience in VMI operations, carrier coordination, or dispatch management
  • Strong knowledge of transportation processes, inventory control, and warehouse operations
  • Experience with SAP Inventory management, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) or global supply chain environments
  • Hands-on experience with hazardous materials logistics
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Experience leading process improvement or operational optimization initiatives
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
