Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager supports project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves assisting in scheduling, communication with stakeholders, documentation, and monitoring project progress. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and information flow between teams.
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and management.
- Help identify risks, issues, and delays, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Support procurement, contract management, and vendor coordination as needed.
- Facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-up on tasks.
- Maintain project files, records, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Provide administrative support and assist with day-to-day project management tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, IT, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or management support.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
