Founded in 1978, North Point Hospitality is a multi-brand hotel development and management company based in Atlanta, GA. Our philosophy centers around developing upscale, brand-defining hotels in prime markets, partnering with industry leaders such as Hilton and Marriott. With a proven track record, North Point and its affiliate companies have developed 38 hotels from the ground up with a total investment over $600 million.
The company currently owns and operates 9 hotels in the southeast, including 8 Hilton and Marriott brands. An additional 5 hotels are either under construction or in active development.
The Area Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing and managing all sales activities within assigned market(s), as directed by the Corporate Director of Sales and Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
. This role works in close collaboration with the General Managers of each property within the assigned market area.
The Area Director ensures the success of the Sales team by providing strategic leadership, clear direction, performance feedback, and proactive support to meet departmental and revenue objectives.
Essential Functions- Oversee and manage sales activities for NPH properties within assigned market(s)
- Create and maintain an office environment that fosters effective selling and strong customer advocacy
- Lead hiring, training, and development of Sales Managers, Property Sales Directors (as applicable), and Sales Coordinators/Associates
- Establish and monitor booking goals for Sales team members
- Provide leadership to drive revenue and achieve property-level objectives
- Guide Property Sales Directors and Managers in meeting performance expectations
- Drive both guest satisfaction and associate engagement while ensuring departmental financial success
- Lead the sales team in developing long-term, value-based customer relationships that support hotel sales objectives
- Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans for each hotel
- Uphold and model the NPH Guest Service Principles
- Property Sales Directors (as applicable)
- Previous Director of Sales or Assistant Director of Sales experience required (multi-property or upscale brand experience preferred)
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and consistently achieving sales targets
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Experience developing and executing annual sales and marketing plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with General Managers and executive leadership
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of hotel performance metrics
