Budget Management:
They are responsible for controlling the shipping departments budget, negotiating transportation costs with carriers, and ensuring that operations remain within budget.;
Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service is crucial, as the manager must address any shipping-related issues and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
