Job SummaryThe Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) provides leadership for all environmental health and safety matters at the University. Harmonizes environmental, health, and safety program objectives with the strategic aims of the University. Articulates a vision for continuous improvement of University environmental health and safety programs, safety culture, and accident/injury experience. Interacts with regulatory agencies on behalf of the University with respect to environmental, health, and safety regulatory matters.
Leads, guides, and directs the implementation of the University's environmental, health, and safety programs. Develops strategic partnerships with senior leadership, faculty, staff, students, the research community, and other constituencies to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of the University's education, research, and clinical missions.
