Performs assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting of aircraft structural components and sheet metal parts, ensuring all work meets FAA requirements, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
Interprets blueprints and work orders to determine proper procedures, aligns and assembles components using jigs and fixtures, and verifies defect-free installations prior to final inspection while accurately maintaining production logs and labor records.
Working under moderate supervision, the mechanic supports Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and demonstrates strong technical skills in structural fabrication and repair.
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year related structural assembly experience
Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Driver’s License required.
