Pit/Production Loader Operator (260000ZV)

• Champion Safety: prioritize safety throughout operations, follow MSHA and Vulcan standards, follow traffic patterns, avoid hazards, report unsafe conditions.
• Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders: load aggregates for processing, feed the plant, load customer trucks within legal limits, strip and prep the mining site, push material closer to feeder.
• Monitor Materials: maintain adequate feed, maintain stockpiles, visually inspect materials for compliance with specifications.
• Perform Inspections and Maintenance: perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, complete daily mobile equipment reports, observe plant and report maintenance, clean yard and plant areas, participate in maintenance, repair, housekeeping.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings: monitor plant operations and report necessary maintenance or adjustments to ensure safety.

• Experience:
  
  2 years operating loaders and dozers in a plant environment preferred.
• Functional and Safety Knowledge: solid knowledge of equipment capabilities, finished material specifications, OSHA and MSHA rules; hazard recognition skills.
• Flexibility: ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed; work outside in all weather, tolerate loud noises.
• Driver's License: valid license with clean driving record.
