Job DescriptionThe Mechanic Mechatronics (Floor Assembler) assembles equipment built based on a specification, work card, drawing, and instruction. The Mechanic Mechatronics I prepares the work by collecting the parts together and determining the assembly sequence. Mechanic Mechatronics primarily is expected to perform assembly work rapidly and accurately. Works safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
ReportingThis position reports to the Production Manager.
Essential Functions (Job Duties And Responsibilities)- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions and procedures to assemble equipment.
- Determine assembly sequence.
- Retrieve, assemble and attach component parts and sub‑assemblies to products based on specifications.
- Perform various hand assemblies, fitting and adjusting operations of a repetitive nature.
- Rework non‑conforming parts and product.
- Adjust the equipment according to the drawing and instructions.
- Assemble all drive line technologies and electrical wiring circuits according to specification, drawing and instruction.
- Test the equipment according to the work card and instructions using the test box.
- Complete check‑lists correctly.
- Assist with accurate inventory control.
- Lift, load, sort and move materials, supplies, finished product between storage and work areas in a safe manner.
- Keep legible and correct documentation of tasks.
- Carry out a variety of activities without supervision.
- Assemble equipment—reads order sheets, prepares work, puts assemblies together, fits drive line technologies, fits control technologies.
- Test equipment—prepares work, adjusts equipment, tests equipment based on test instructions.
- Administer check‑lists/approval forms.
- Provide guidance for less experienced colleagues and temporary staff agency workers.
- Check others’ work and identify problems.
- Ensure all employees in the assembly department fully understand and properly execute instructions.
- Ensure materials and components are consistently available to prevent delays and avoid work stoppages.
- 4 years of mechanic or assembly experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of metal properties, operational sequences and hand power tools.
- Knowledge and experience in the assembly process.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use power hand tools as required.
- Must be able to communicate with others.
- Must be able to follow and understand instructions.
- Must be able to work with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work safely and understand OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints.
- Must be able to work carefully and in a concentrated manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to adopt an investigative attitude to detect anomalies and report them.
- Must be aware of shared responsibility for the quality of the final product.
- Must have a strong willingness to learn.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must promote team play.
- Must monitor and maintain quality.
- Must be able to identify process improvement.
This is a full‑time position. Monday through Thursday, 10‑hour shifts. (Options for 4:00 AM–2:30 PM or 5:00 AM–3:30 PM). Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and shift work.
TravelThis position does not require travel.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe work environment and physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
Employee will be in a warehouse environment, subject to cold temperatures of 40 °F, and will be required to wear a jacket. Noise levels of 90 decibels can be reached at certain times. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles while in a manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
