Logistics Specialist Lead for G650 Fuselage Materials
Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation
Preferred experience:
SAP, EWM, logistics lead & training, RI stamp holder.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 7 years experience in stockroom, warehouse, or inventory control activities.
- 2 years progressive responsibility with recognized leadership qualities.
- CDI qualified for Customer Support.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Coordinate the operation of assigned stockroom functions, ensuring materials are processed responsively and adhere to corporate quality and safety standards.
Job Description Essential Functions- Monitor receiving, stocking, disbursement, and shipping of material, ensuring accurate paperwork and system transactions in a timely manner.
- Make high‑impact decisions affecting material flow and high‑dollar inventory.
- Establish priorities, plan and assign work, review employee performance, recommend recognition, rewards, disciplinary actions as required.
- Train new and existing personnel on material handling procedures; identify training needs.
- Develop operational and organizational improvements and coordinate implementation with relevant parties.
- Provide prompt and responsive customer service for applicable material processes.
- Analyze problems and initiate corrective action as needed.
- Audit departments to ensure procedures are followed.
- Ensure stockroom material conforms to FAA, GAC Quality Control, and departmental procedures.
- Direct employees to deliver material within specified time limits.
- Interface with other departments to maintain inventory accuracy for high‑dollar and high‑volume areas.
- Manage day‑to‑day Tool Crib activities for specific sites.
- Ensure timely performance of cycle counts where applicable.
- Perform weekly safety audits and ensure all areas meet safety requirements.
- Oversee special projects (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, visual management, etc.) and ensure procedures are implemented and followed.
- Assist in developing work schedules and methods to improve operational efficiency.
- Support a continuous‑improvement culture, including lean principles, sustainability initiatives, ergonomic improvements, safety, and cross‑functional teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, technical and non‑technical.
- Heavy customer contact.
- On feet most of shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
