Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Description

DSS is currently sourcing for a DIRECT HIRE - Manufacturing Process Engineer for a valued customer in the Suwanee, Georgia area.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for developing new and improving existing manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. The employee should be able to design and implement new systems, processes, and procedures to improve quality, establish a cost‑effective manufacturing process, and develop best practices within the production process.

• 3-5 years of experience with manufacturing or plant engineering.
• Experience with practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems.
• Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.
• Excellent problem‑solving, technical, verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of materials, SMT placement machines, wave solder, AOI machines, ICT, mechanical assembly, process flow, Lean/Kanban, product development, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of Printed Circuit Board assemblies.
• Machine programming and SMT process expertise, including knowledge of industry‑specific tests and testing equipment, familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and on the production floor.

Salary is BOE – Starts at $90,000.

B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical) – M.S. preferred.
