General Position Description
Operations employee with a general focus on all operations activities.
Responsibilities- Material Handling & Staging: Safely prepare, stage, and organize materials for distribution, including deburring, packing, receiving, and shipping.
- Order Fulfillment: Pull materials from stock and accurately fill sales orders.
- Verification & Documentation: Confirm material specifications, quality, quantity, dimensions, and tolerances; record information in ERP system or job tickets.
- Machine Operation: Operate cutting equipment such as Chop Saw, Band Saw, Plate Saw, Shear Machine, Waterjet, and Laser Machine to process materials per work orders.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, side loader, Combilift, overhead crane and order pickers) to move and stage materials.
- Quality & Safety: Follow all safety protocols and maintain quality standards during material handling and machine operation; maintains a clean and well organized work area.
- General Operations Support: Assist with department clean-up, routine equipment checks, and other tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
- Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training required.

Skills:
Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment and cutting equipment. - Measurement
Skills:
Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices. - Math
Skills:
Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. - Technical
Skills:
Ability to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. - Problem-Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs with assistance while following all safety guidance.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
- Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
- PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes are required on a continuous basis, or as defined by the role needs or safety guidelines.
