Hybrid Podding Technician/Inspector – Savannah, GA
Working Pattern & LocationOnsite Monday – Thursday (6:30am – 5:00pm, 10‑hour shifts).
Job OverviewAs the Hybrid Technician/Inspector for Rolls‑Royce, you will review related paperwork and build cards to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards and documentation is complete and accurate. You will advocate and promote company policies that include product safety, safe work practices, OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and Local policies/regulations. You will have knowledge of disassembly, repair, and re‑assembly of Rolls‑Royce gas turbine engines and components.
The role requires passing an FAA‑required eye exam and lifting engine components weighing up to approximately 50pounds.
- Operate precision tools and equipment to perform accurate dimensions without error and comply with work scope instructions directed by Operations and Engineering.
- Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion prior to engine dispatch approval.
- Access and use engine data materials such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Engine Maintenance Manual (EMM), and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC).
- Understand, interpret, and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives, and Technical Variances when applicable.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50pounds and interface with customers as required.
- Lead capacity when directed by Operations and Engineering groups.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development) with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR Associate’s degree with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
- Position is FAA designated safety‑sensitive; selected candidates must complete FAA/DOT pre‑employment background check, FAA/DOT drug screen (testing for Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine, and Amphetamines or metabolites), and comply with FAA‑mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Prior customer relations experience.
- Engine or Aircraft logbook familiarity.
- Understanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionality.

Salary and Additional InformationPay Range: $29.65 – $44.48 per hour.
