Lead Associate-Feed Mill

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Operate multiple feed production systems.

• Operate multiple automated feed production systems inclusive of batching, pelleting, grinding, and receiving.
• Maintain orderly and presentable records.
• Record and reconcile drug and micro-ingredient inventories as required.
• Obtain forklift certification.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by supervision.
• Carry out duties effectively with minimal supervision.
• Cooperate with other mill and maintenance employees, as well as truck drivers.
• Collect feed samples as directed by supervision.
• Report any issues that interfere with plant production operations to supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge of feed mill manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Intermediate math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, dividing proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
• Basic computer knowledge and usage skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.

• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, and bend.
• Lift and carry 50-60 lbs.
• Work in dusty, hot environments.
• Operate in loud environments requiring ear protection.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Work at heights of 200+ feet.
• Operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material.
