The production operator is capable of contributing to all phases of the production process. Included is the operation of automated production equipment, primary diagnosis of machinery failures, aiding with preventative maintenance, and sanitation of equipment. Operators are expected to be competent to make production decisions concerning the preflight and operation of equipment. Operators must be flexible and adaptable, as they may be required to rotate job assignments throughout production.

In addition, it is the responsibility of the operator to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment for themselves and their fellow operators. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on‑job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

• Check production work schedules for job assignment and work reporting time.
• When job assignment is SCALER/DIVIDER OPERATOR:
  • Check and maintain production schedule.
  • Scale ingredients.
  • Load, operate and unload mixer(s).
  • Operate dough pump.
  • Check posted scaling weights and equipment standards.
  • Adjust and operate one pocket and six pocket dividers.
  • Adjust and operate rounder.
  • Adjust and operate overhead proofer.
  • Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure that work area is clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.).
• When job assignment is WRAPPING OPERATOR:
  • Check production schedule and verify product running order.
  • Check pan count sheet for product quantity.
  • Check production wrap count sheet for bag types.
  • Set and operate slicer, bagger, and tier equipment.
  • Perform quality control inspection of finished product.
  • Ensure that product is loaded correctly.
  • Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure work area is clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.).
• When job assignment is PALLETIZER:
  • Check production schedule and verify product running order.
  • Check to ensure that the proper program is running.
  • Check pallets, slip sheets, etc. for quantity.
  • Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and operator’s preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure work area is clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, etc.).
• Similar responsibilities apply when assignment is ROLL LINE OPERATOR, BOARD MONITOR, RETARD BOX MONITOR.
• All employees will be responsible and accountable for insuring the quality and safety of every function and all products.

• Two years related bakery or production experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency.

Salary Range: $20.66
