Description

SUMMARY: The Production Team Member assembles component parts together and performs quality inspections on an assembly line.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works in a team environment with other team members in the processes of problem solving, suggestion implementation and team building.
  • Monitors and tracks key operational metrics for your particular assembly line, including OEE, PPM, scrap, rework, and throughput.
  • Works to assure that customers receive products on‑time and at the proper quality level.
  • Supports continuous improvement by participation in employee involvement teams and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and operates equipment safely at all times; corrects or communicates any unsafe conditions encountered.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills are highly preferred but not required.
  • Must be capable of reading variable and attribute gauges; blueprint reading may be required for some operations.
  • Must be able to learn multiple jobs on assembly lines throughout the plant.
  • Must be willing to work mandatory overtime, including weekends.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to read written operator instructions.

  • Must be able to lift or move more than 25 pounds occasionally.
  • The working area is heated and air‑conditioned; work may involve sealant, water, oils, grease; eye, ear, hand, and foot protection may be required.
  • Responsibilities include using hand tools such as manual or electric screwdrivers, torque guns, rubber mallets, electronic hand drills, and other hand tools.
