The primary responsibility of the material handler is to provide the movement of incoming and outgoing material and logistical support of flow production and timely delivery of finished product. Partnership with team members maximizes packing, shipping and receiving processes, ensuring safety, security and productivity standards.

• Operate a forklift and/or tugger safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accountability for all inbound and outbound material.
• Package, plan and expedite orders, supplies, and parts to meet production goals.
• Load and unload material to production lines and designated locations.
• Verify accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming/outgoing materials.
• Label every product and position them correctly.
• Maintain an accurate account of stock and inventory.
• Keep all material‑handling equipment in top condition through regular maintenance and inspections.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address delivery and packaging issues.
• Maintain a safe work environment committed to safe business practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding areas.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification in forklift operation.
• Computer skills highly preferred but not required.
• Other skills required:
  • Capable of reading variable and attribute gaging; blueprint reading may be required for some operations.
  • Capable of learning multiple jobs on assembly lines throughout the plant.
  • Capable of working all mandatory overtime, including weekends.
  • Capable of reading written operator instructions.

• Continually required to stand and walk.
• Frequently required to use hand and finger dexterity.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, or kneel.
• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
• Noisy environment; noise level is usually moderate.
• Must demonstrate forklift control in a close space in the warehouse, line, and trailer; a field test is mandatory.
• Must frequently lift or move more than 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds up to a distance of four feet in the air.
• Must possess physical strength to bail large loads of cardboard and lift part bins onto storage racks.
• Additional remarks regarding work environment:
  • Working area is heated and air‑conditioned; occasional work with sealants, water, oils, and grease. Eye, ear, hand, and foot protection may be required.
• Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used:
  • Use of hand tools such as manual or electric screwdrivers, torque guns, rubber mallets, electronic hand drills, and other hand tools.
