Upholstery Technician III Second Shift in GAC Savannah Unique Skills
Detail-oriented Aviation Upholstery Technician with intermediate to advanced experience in upholstery, aircraft interiors and related fabrication work. Skilled in hands‑on techniques for repairing, restoring, and fabricating interior components including seats, panels, headliners, and soft goods. Demonstrates working knowledge of aviation‑grade materials, specialized tools, and FAA‑compliant methods to meet engineering, quality, and design standards. Capable of supporting aircraft refurbishment, completions, and maintenance projects with precision, safety, and craftsmanship.
Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. 3 years experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or various hand tools used in the upholstery and carpet trades. Experience in aerospace preferred.
Position Purpose
:
Work independently to design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim items in aircraft interiors. Assist Shop Lead by overseeing projects and providing guidance and direction to co‑workers. Mentor and train other Upholstery Technicians.
