Operations Coordinator – GAC Savannah

Position

Purpose:

The Operations Coordinator is considered an extension of leadership and performs under the direction of the Operations Manager, Department Coordinator, or Aircraft Coordinator if appropriate. This role is a working coordinator responsible for various duties as assigned, including providing technical leadership throughout day‑to‑day activities, training, and daily work plan development and execution.

High School Diploma or GED required. 4 years of related manufacturing assembly or aircraft maintenance experience. Q‑stamp preferred.

• Train team members on specific installs to ensure quality and proficiency, including development of job instruction breakdown (JIB) sheets supporting TWI training.
• Coordinate the development and updates to the Daily Work Plan (DWP).
• Lead team members in assignment and completion of required operations per the DWP.
• Serve as FOD and 6S team leader for the assigned area/work scope.
• Assist manager in developing work‑around approaches/plan when issues arise (e.g., DR/DI, late part(s)).
• Provide assistance for the manager for your team’s EPR evaluations.
• Ensure same‑day completion (sign‑off) of all paperwork associated with completed work.
• Accurately maintain metrics for DWP and ensure they are posted daily.
• Maintain skills matrix to reflect the team’s proficiency level.
• Be fully proficient in the installation/build of the assigned statement of work.
• Demonstrate discipline and integrity in following engineering and manufacturing documents.

• Demonstrate leadership ability and possess good communication skills.
• Proficient in interpreting Gulfstream manufacturing standards (GAMP’s, GER’s, MEP’s, etc.).
• Exceptional problem identification/solving skills, functioning equally well as team leader or member.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 lbs.
