We are seeking an Upholstery Tech I to fabricate, install, and pattern aircraft interior upholstery. The role works under moderate supervision to meet FAA and Gulfstream specifications.

High School Diploma or GED required. Entry‑level. Preferred experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and upholstery/carpenter tools.

Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.

• Perform technical upholstery functions within design, customer, FAA, and Gulfstream specifications, following work order instructions and specifications.
• Fit panels and windows, cabin headliners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels, windows, cut and sew carpets, cover bulkheads, fabricate metal parts, and install panels.
• Create carpet patterns from design drawings and complete installation.
• Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign‑off work.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations.
• Computer literacy.
• Capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in small restricted areas, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working any shift.
