CNC Technician I in GAC Savannah

Position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (GAC Savannah) involves operating and maintaining automated CNC machines to fabricate high‑quality aerospace parts.

High School Diploma or GED required. Entry level. Preference for experience in an automated machine environment or CNC operations.

Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop theory, procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability, materials, and layout techniques.

• Under supervision, operate automated machines using existing programs.
• Remove and replace cutting tools and offsets as required; inspect condition of tools and replace as needed.
• Inspect cut material or part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and engineering documents.
• Identify appropriate material and cutting tools; set up material and inspect for serviceability.
• Monitor material supply.
• Validate preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines; alert maintenance of any repair/preventive issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; comply with 5S and Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
