Company OverviewAstemo Rock Spring, Inc. was established in 2000 and supplies aluminum knuckles to Honda and Subaru. We are located in Rock Spring, GA, operating on 3 shifts with 400 employees. We have three main manufacturing departments:
Casting, Machining, and Press Assembly. We are part of Astemo, Inc. with 90,000 employees worldwide.
This quality assurance position is responsible for the final inspection of aluminum parts and brake component parts. It uses gauges, markers, fixtures, jigs, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- The Finished Goods Assurance will support and aid in the quality of parts per line(s).
- Ensuring quality compliance with the standard for each model.
- Completing part quality checks in compliance with the standard for each model.
- Reviewing and disposition of defective parts.
- Confirming check sheets are complete and performing testing as directed by the quality team.
When accomplishing tasks, focus on meeting overall company goals, including OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 environmental compliance, ethical & legal compliance, customer quality, production to plan, and delivery performance.
Safety & Environmental- Promotes a safety-first attitude and provides a safe work environment by following all required OSHA regulations.
- Coordinates safety and environmental repair activities.
- Assists in ensuring parts knowledge and training is completed where needed.
- Follows work instructions and point cards as directed.
- Ensures quality and packaging requirements are met.
- Ensures associates understand and follow all change point procedures and complete all required documentation.
- Ensures accuracy, quantity, and labeling of containers as they are packed for shipment.
- Communicates concerns to production management.
- May use pallet jacks for material movement.
- Ensures timely completion of tasks.
- Suggests and implements improvement ideas.
- Is cross-trained in various FGA positions in one or more departments.
- Supports business plan targets and monitors measurable goals based on business plan objectives.
- Reports quality issues to the quality department and production issues to the manufacturing department.
- Blueprint reading, hand tools use, measuring tools experience.
- Good problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships.
- Familiar with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office programs.
HS Diploma or GED. Previous experience in related field: 2‑5 years. Astemo experience desired.

- Others as required to meet business plan objectives.
- Requires regular lifting of weights up to 5 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Requires repetitive lifting (>700 each shift) of weights up to 15 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Regular use of hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; occasional walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; talking or hearing.
