Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace Assembly & Testing)
Our client, an innovative aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and scaling of advanced aerospace manufacturing production. This role sits at the intersection of Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test, supporting the company's strategic growth by improving manufacturing efficiency, solving production challenges, and increasing throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Quality: Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards through effective quality control and ongoing monitoring.
- Process Improvement: Identify and help implement enhancements using best practices to boost productivity and minimize waste.
- Hands‑On Manufacturing Engineering: Support the design, development, validation, and implementation of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, gauges, and production support equipment.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations. - Safety Commitment: Work in a culture of safety, complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the industry.
- A bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Industrial Manufacturing Process, or a related field.
- 0-5+ years of direct experience in related manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and engineering drawings / GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in using various assembly processes and all related tooling.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials and their manufacturing processes.
- Safety and quality standards in manufacturing with ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience.
- Experience or certification in LEAN methodology / LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
- Work experience with ERP systems.
- Must be a US Citizen, due to an ITAR complaint facility.
