We are seeking a skilled and creative internal communicator to join our People Communications team in Savannah, Georgia. Under guidance from senior team members, this role will support the development and execution of communication strategies to inform, engage and connect Gulfstream employees through relevant content that elevates the employee experience. You’ll collaborate with teams in every corner of our company to understand and support their communication needs.
This position will be on-site in Savannah, GA.
Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in English, journalism, business communication or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job. Four years of progressively responsible communications and/or related HR experience.
Position Purpose
:
Under moderate supervision, serve as an expert in employee communications strategies, tactics and operations, overseeing and executing communications campaigns, projects, content, media, tools and resources in support of the business and its employees.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute all key functions of Employee Communications, serving as a communications expert in support of company objectives and priorities, and engaging employees through communications methods that improve their overall experience at the company.
- Develop, edit and revise content under supervision of the senior manager of Employee Communications.
- Write and edit stories for use in various media. Must be able to write about complex topics in concise, clear and engaging ways, adhering to AP Style guidelines and exceptions set forth in the Employee Communications style guide.
- Repurpose content for multiple formats.
- Coordinate content production with outside vendors as needed.
- Create, manage and execute communications projects and campaigns, engaging and collaborating key stakeholders and cross-functional support.
Additional Functions
- May serve as a subject matter expert for key HR functions, identifying and executing on opportunities to educate, inform and engage employees about all aspects of such functions.
- Serve as support for a variety of core employee communications department functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
- Hands-on writing experience and a writing portfolio required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, develop and manage project plans.
- This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
