Community Outreach & Social Media VISTA

The goal of the community outreach & social media VISTA position is to build capacity for Step Up Savannah through increasing community outreach efforts, story collection and promotion, creating support services and opportunities for individuals in Chatham County. The Community Outreach VISTA will improve community well-being by engaging community partners and leaders through advertising and support of the Chatham Apprentice Program (CAP).

Attend events in partnership with local and corporate businesses for recruitment of all Step Up Savannah program areas. These community campaigns can be online or in person. Solicit in-kind donations for events, online auctions, and in preparation for Step Up’s Annual Meeting from local businesses. Create digital community outreach campaigns and strategies such as attending community events throughout the year, utilizing social media platforms.

Member Activity (12/14/2026 - 09/26/2027):
In collaboration with the Communications &Development Manager and create sponsorship packages for various Step Up programs, also in collaboration with the Communications &Development Manager, create sponsorship packages for various Step Up programs.
