Nurse Educator Opportunity

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a
-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a

The Nurse Educator is a key member of the Coastal Harbor Team who will coordinate and educate personnel upon hire, as well as continuously provide training to staff on all components of the Health System.

• Assist in the creation of education tools and training based upon identified needs of the hospital; assist in the development of key performance metrics to measure the success of the training programs
• Work with CNO to evaluate and modify training materials to maximize success and ensure training fully represents the mission and vision of the organization; create, modify, and deliver clinical and non-clinical training programs resulting from needs assessments
• Conduct orientation for Registered Nurses and Mental Health Technicians, as well as staff development in-services based on identified needs; coordinate and teach Hande with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-Escalation (Verbal
  
  D) training; coordinate annual CPR certification

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Four years’ employment as an RN in a psychiatric setting in positions of progressive responsibility and leadership required
• Two years’ experience in a supervisory or administrative role required
• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Georgia required
• Valid driver’s license
