Position
Registered Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery
Location:
Savannah, GA
Shift: 8‑hour day shifts, full‑time
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring high‑quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Manage and mentor a team of nurses and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and maintain unit budgets, ensuring resources are utilized effectively
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
- Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends and best practices, implementing changes as needed to improve patient outcomes
- Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating staff members
- Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with other department managers to promote a positive and cohesive work environment
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Previous management experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Knowledge of labor and delivery best practices and current trends in the field
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP certification preferred
