Registered Nurse; RN PRN - ED Nights

Job Summary

Night shift (United States of America).

• Perform the nursing process and deliver patient‑centered care using evidence‑based practice and analytic thinking.
• Coordinate care through interdisciplinary communication, including bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching.
• Practice current clinical standards, ensuring individualized care that reflects population characteristics and cultural diversity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, including research utilization and shared governance.
• Collaborate to develop protocols and procedures that achieve best‑practice outcomes such as decreased readmission rates and avoidable days.
• Support efficient use of human and material resources.
• Deliver direct patient care across the continuum and perform other duties as assigned.

• Complete all required professional competency assessments and continuing education.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nurses and staff or students of all disciplines.
• Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives.

Associate of Science in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).

• ACLS (or equivalent) – instructor or provisional within 180 days.
• BLS (or equivalent).
• Registered Nurse (single state) or RN‑Compact.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN).

Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant acute‑care clinical nursing experience.

Critical thinking, collaboration, cultural competence, documentation, and clinical decision‑making.
