RN Manager - Labor & Delivery
Location: Savannah, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
Position OverviewThe RN Manager of Labor & Delivery is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing unit operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department performance. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, this role plays a key part in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and operational plans that support safe, patient-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Labor & Delivery leader who values teamwork and is passionate about supporting both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for daily Labor & Delivery operations
- Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and workflow to support patient care needs
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices
- Promote a positive, supportive team culture and high standards of clinical care
- Supervise and support nursing and support staff, including RNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental planning
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required;
Master’s Degree preferred - Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong clinical expertise and proven leadership skills in Labor & Delivery
- 12 Labor & Delivery beds with 4 overflow beds
- 3 Operating Rooms
- 2 Triage beds
- 4-bed PACU
- Approximately 300 births per month (3,500 annually)
- Reports to the Director of Women’s Services
- Salary up to $110,000 annually
- Relocation assistance available (case by case)
- Sign-on bonus available (case by case)
