Key Responsibilities- Manage, plan, organize, and direct all nursing activities in the assigned facility.
- Ensure quality of nursing care and direct subordinate supervisors and staff.
- Manage daily operations within the county health department.
- Collaborate with community partners, state agencies, and stakeholders to identify needs and improve health access.
- Develop and implement standards and policies for the clinic while monitoring staff adherence to district/state policies and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding of new hires and mentor them.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of professional and support staff; complete performance evaluations.
- Monitor budget to ensure cost‑efficient operations without compromising care quality.
- Advocate for staff and act as liaison between staff and leadership.
- Provide support during emergency situations, assist with disaster response, and coordinate healthcare resources.
- Foster a positive work environment and maintain good morale among staff.
- Provide guidance to staff nurses in complex patient scenarios.
- Strategically align clinic goals with district goals.
- Master’s degree in nursing, nursing administration, public health, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university AND one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND four years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Eight years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, three years of which as a supervisor AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years or more of public health experience and functioning off Public Health Nurse Protocols as an expanded role nurse.
