Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Professional to provide direct patient care and administrative support within a dynamic physician's office. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for expertly scheduling appointments, meticulously verifying insurance details, delivering general nursing care, and ensuring a seamless patient flow, all while upholding established standards and practices.

Duties
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage related communications with precision and care.
  • Provide professional nursing care to clinic patients, ensuring their comfort and well‑being.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality, adhering to the highest ethical standards.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule all patient appointments, including cancellations and changes, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Verify insurance and patient demographics, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Route calls and communicate with the appropriate department or physician offices, facilitating efficient communication.
  • Provide Good Faith Estimates (GFE) upon patient request, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Inform physician office staff or patient of testing requirements, ensuring preparedness and understanding.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of information in scheduling/registration systems, maintaining data integrity.
  • Work closely with physician office staff to ensure pre‑cert/authorization numbers are entered, streamlining administrative processes.
  • Select the correct patient medical record number consistently, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Utilize appropriate communication methods with physician offices, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients, optimizing patient experience.
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physician's examination, ensuring their comfort and readiness.
  • Provide general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment, delivering compassionate and skilled care.
  • Screen patients for appropriate information, ensuring accurate and relevant data collection.
  • Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests, providing clear and concise guidance.
  • Arrange for patient testing and admissions, coordinating necessary procedures.
  • Check rooms daily for necessary supplies, maintaining a well‑equipped and organized environment.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, addressing inquiries and directing them appropriately.
  • Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions, ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Maintain and review patients' records and other pertinent information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Post tests and examination results, maintaining up‑to‑date patient information.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrating practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control, prioritizing patient and staff safety.
  • Utilize universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or used patient supplies that may be contaminated with patient body fluids, adhering to infection control standards.
  • Project a positive image of the facility in all interactions and supporting effective team functioning, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
