We partner closely with patients, prescribing providers, pharmacy teams, and care coordinators to deliver a high‑quality infusion experience from referral through treatment.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a clinically strong, compassionate, and self‑directed Infusion Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our growing team on a part‑time basis. This role is responsible for administering biologic and specialty infusion therapies, monitoring patients throughout treatment, documenting care accurately, and helping create a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities- Administer IV infusions, injections, and related therapies in accordance with provider orders, established protocols, and company standards.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after treatment.
- Monitor patients for infusion reactions, side effects, or changes in condition, and respond appropriately.
- Review infusion orders, pre‑treatment requirements, and applicable labs prior to therapy.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow all infection control and safety standards.
- Educate patients on their therapy, potential side effects, expectations during treatment, and appropriate home care instructions.
- Document all treatments, assessments, medication administration, and patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with prescribing providers, pharmacy staff, insurance coordinators, scheduling teams, and other care partners to support smooth patient flow and continuity of care.
- Assist with inventory management, supply organization, and proper handling of infusion equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings, clinical check‑ins, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Help maintain a welcoming, calm, and professional environment for patients receiving care.
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia.
- Proficiency in peripheral IV placement is required.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Prior infusion, specialty medication, biologic therapy, ambulatory care, oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, or home infusion experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to recognize and respond to adverse reactions.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple care sites as needed.
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Patient‑focused mindset with a commitment to safety, professionalism, and high‑quality care.
This is a part‑time role, approximately 3 days per week (12 days per month), with flexibility based on patient volume and site coverage needs.
