Registered Nurse CVICU

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with department needs and the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with medical providers and care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, Manage).
• Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, representing the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Perform procedures, monitor, and document care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
• Translate complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
• Educate on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures including diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
• Manage evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Bachelor's Degree, Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• No travel required.
• No prior experience required.
