We are seeking a compassionate and experienced OB‑GYN Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our growing women's health practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and has a strong clinical background in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive health, and preventive medicine. This position will support both of our Georgia locations and work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to women throughout every stage of life.
PositionSummary
The OB‑GYN Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) specializing in women's reproductive, obstetric, and gynecologic healthcare. The provider delivers comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services while promoting wellness through patient education and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive women's healthcare, including annual well-woman examinations and preventive health assessments.
- Perform prenatal, postpartum, and routine obstetrical care.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders, abnormal uterine bleeding, and menopause-related conditions.
- Conduct pelvic examinations, breast examinations, Pap smears, STI screenings, and other preventive health screenings.
- Provide family planning services, fertility counseling, contraception management, and reproductive health education.
- Perform in-office procedures including IUD insertion and removal, Nexplanon insertion and removal, endometrial biopsies, and other minor gynecologic procedures within scope of practice.
- Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results, including ultrasounds, mammograms, and other women's health screenings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with Georgia laws and regulations.
- Educate patients on pregnancy, postpartum care, menopause, reproductive health, disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain evidence-based clinical practice standards.
- Current, unrestricted Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Registered Nurse (RN) licenses.
- National board certification as one of the following:
- Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP‑BC)
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP‑C or FNP‑BC) with significant women's health or OB‑GYN experience
- Adult‑Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) with relevant OB‑GYN experience
- Master’s (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in women's health or OB‑GYN.
- Experience managing prenatal and postpartum patients.
- Experience performing office-based gynecologic procedures.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Interest or experience in integrative, preventive, and wellness-focused healthcare.
- Experience in outpatient women's health or private practice settings.
