Pruitt Health is seeking an experienced Senior Nurse Consultant (RN) to support our skilled nursing and long-term care centers throughout Coastal Georgia. This highly visible role is ideal for a clinical leader who is passionate about survey readiness, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and coaching facility leadership teams
.
As a Senior Nurse Consultant, you will partner with Administrators, Directors of Health Services, and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen compliance programs, improve survey outcomes, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mock surveys in accordance with CMS and state regulatory standards.
- Evaluate clinical, environmental, and life safety compliance practices.
- Review clinical documentation, including MDS assessments, care plans, medical records, and medication administration records
. - Identify potential deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Assist facilities with Plans of Correction (POCs) and ongoing Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Coach and mentor facility leadership teams on survey readiness, compliance expectations, and documentation standards.
- Monitor corrective actions and support sustained regulatory compliance.
- Participate in clinical leadership meetings, regulatory readiness calls, and educational initiatives.
- Stay current on CMS regulations, F-Tags, survey processes, infection prevention standards, and long-term care best practices

Required
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with multistate eligibility.
- CPR Certification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as a Director of Health Services, Assistant Director of Nursing, Quality Nurse, Clinical Consultant, or similar role.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, compliance audits, QAPI programs, and Plans of Correction.
Preferred
- Experience conducting mock surveys or participating in state and federal survey processes.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, F-Tags, and survey readiness practices.
- Strong analytical, auditing, and data interpretation skills.
- Experience supporting multiple facilities and managing competing priorities.

Qualifications
MINIMUM
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited educational institution with a degree in Nursing
Continuing education in regulatory compliance, infection control, or Quality Assurance Performance Improvement is a plus.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
At least 2 years of leadership experience (Director of Health Services, Assistant Director of Nursing, Quality Nurse, or Clinical Consultant).
Prior experience conducting mock surveys or participation in state/federal survey processes (preferred)
Familiarity with Plans of Correction, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement programs and compliance audits
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
- Must possess an active Registered Professional Nursing License (multi-state)
- Infection Preventionist certification preferred, but not required
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends and implement improvement strategies
- Strong understanding of care coordination, patient experience and quality improvement principles
- Ability to lead and manage teams across multiple locations
- Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
