Regional Infusion Nurse

Provide safe, accurate, and efficient patient care

Assess patients and review labs and vital signs

Verify medication doses and safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents

Provide triage care and prioritize incoming telephone calls and messages

Follow Oncology Nursing Society standards and guidelines

Dispose of biohazardous waste according to OSHA and NIOSH guidelines

Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, and treatment plans

Document treatment accurately and timely in the EMR

Capture appropriate charges for medication administration and related activities

Maintain proper patient identification and confidentiality

Assist with medical supply inventory, re-stocking, and purchasing recommendations

Attend required trainings and mandatory staff meetings

Assist in training new employees

Work at company locations as needed and travel to other clinic locations

Perform other assigned duties and projects

Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

• Nursing Degree
• Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi-state license
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
• Ability to assess patient needs and condition
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
• EMR proficiency
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
• Ability to work remotely effectively as required
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed

Demonstrates expertise in providing safe and efficient patient care, particularly in hematology/oncology settings, while adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems. Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and effective communication with patients and caregivers.
