Quality Assurance Technician 3 - Product Inspection in GAC Savannah

    • Experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Planning, or related roles
    • Experience with Gulfstream electronic systems (SAP, Solumina, Smar Team, AIR, Catia)
    • Familiarity with engineering change implementation process
    • Familiarity with FAI and Conformity inspection requirements
    • Working knowledge of 14 CFR regulations for production under PC
    • Experience with Quality Control Inspection Planning

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. High School Diploma or GED required. 6 years quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations, maintenance and/or military operations experience is required. Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Work with senior Quality Assurance personnel to develop quality methods required for the product or service of the area.
  • Revise department procedures and instructions as required by senior Quality Assurance personnel to implement quality control requirements.
  • Assist in the Review Test and Assembly Documentation. Review new and revised Blueprints.
  • Recommend revision or modification of systems, methods and techniques necessary to maintain or improve quality and/or reliability.
  • Responsible for technical direction of activities in one or more areas of the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Write and review both internal and external Corrective Actions.
  • Follow-up on Corrective Action implementation.
  • Participate in and lead audits and improvement workshops.
  • Assure that the investigations on Quality issues are conducted according to department procedures and work instructions.
  • Actively identify and complete process improvement projects related to achieving improved quality or efficiency of Quality processes.
  • Interrogate data and prepares analysis or associated documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction (internal and external customers).
  • Work with other departments and/or disciplines.
  • Promote and encourage a continuous improvement culture.
  • Additional Functions:

  • Support the operating priorities as identified by the Quality leadership team.
  • May support other areas of Quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Other Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) standard ASME Y14.5 preferred.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical tools used for problem resolution.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification as a Green belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or maintenance processes (i.e. Assembly, Machining, Special Process, Inspection, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
