What You Will Do
  • Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits across the enterprise to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Apply prior auditing experience to conduct thorough, high-quality audits that meet procedural and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve corrective action plans, ensuring root cause is addressed and recurrence is prevented.
  • Prepare clear, concise audit reports with well-defined findings and objective evidence.
  • Analyze audit data and trends to drive risk-based auditing and focus on critical areas within the value stream.
  • Monitor audit process metrics to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the internal audit program.
  • Coordinate audit schedules, resources, and cross-functional support to ensure successful audit execution.
  • Utilize systems such as CATIA, Smar Team, Exalead AIR, SAP, Corridor, and Solumina to support audit activities and data analysis.
  • Mentor and develop Quality Internal Auditor 1 team members, supporting their technical growth and audit readiness.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives using continuous improvement tools to enhance audit quality and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100:2015, FAA regulations, and other applicable standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality across the organization.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Sciences, Quality Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 4 years of progressively responsible technical experience in quality or auditing within aerospace or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated auditing experience with a strong understanding of audit processes and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100:2015 and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with quality auditing, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CATIA, Smar Team, Exalead Aircraft Information Retrieval (AIR), SAP, Corridor, and/or Solumina systems preferred.
  • Knowledge or certification in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and quality systems tools.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or related field required (or equivalent). 4 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.

Job Description
  • Review and approve Corrective Action Plans for audit findings, ensuring they are robust and prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate scheduling and manpower assignments to audits.
  • Prepare audit reports with clearly stated findings and objective evidence.
  • Communicate with all organizational levels.
  • Identify and complete process improvement projects related to internal audit quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor workflow and progress to ensure standards are met; assist Coordinators in resolving issues.
  • Coordinate activity with other departments and/or disciplines in support of audits.
  • Interpret and execute company policies and procedures; develop new procedures as required.
  • Develop processes to identify, analyze, and correct quality trends based on audit results.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture and encourage employees.
  • Support a healthy workforce via Corporate Ergonomist and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) resources.
