Quality Control Specialist
The Quality Control Specialist for Goodwill Southeast Georgia is responsible for conducting quality inspections and managing corrective actions to ensure contract compliance at the contract site. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of service quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Your Typical Day:
- Conduct timely quality control inspections of custodial contracts to ensure service quality meets or exceeds contract requirements.
- Assign and monitor corrective actions for discrepancies identified during inspections.
- Review custodial proof of work prior to inspections.
- Maintain industry, company, and customer quality standards and requirements established by the contract and the Quality Control Plan.
- Prepare, maintain, and review quality-related reports and documents, including QC Inspections and Action Reports.
- Advise the Quality Control Manager, Program Manager, and Custodial Supervisors on quality trends and issues.
- Work independently and collaboratively within company policies, using sound judgment to meet objectives.
- Promote a "Safety First" attitude and comply with all safety policies, reporting unsafe activities or conditions.
- Participate in monthly Quality Control Inspector training for skill development and continuous improvement.
- Foster a team environment and demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner to support the organization's mission.
- Adhere to company time and attendance policies and other policies outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Submit End of Day Reports to the Quality Control Manager.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience as a Quality Control Inspector/Specialist in a related service industry (e.g., custodial, food service, or healthcare).
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP) and Contracts.
- Experience in custodial services preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage assignments effectively.
- Proficiency with computers and technology, including tablets, email, and Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to high-quality service.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle driving record check.
- Must be able to meet all required government security clearances.
- Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, with flexibility for nights and weekends as needed.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling/storage procedures.
- Familiarity with CIMS (Cleaning Industry Management Standard).
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and dusty environments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, or chemical-laden environment, including outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl, stoop, reach, and climb, including stairs.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Ability One individuals.
- At least 1 year of experience working with government contracts and facilities.
