We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality performance, product quality improvement, and new product development activities. This role works closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, engineering, and customers to ensure quality standards are met and continuous improvement initiatives are successfully implemented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier quality improvement activities and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure suppliers perform effective root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in investigations related to product quality issues and warranty concerns.
  • Review and support PPAP and APQP documentation for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and process assessments.
  • Partner with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches and value improvement projects.
  • Support manufacturing teams during product launches and issue resolution activities.
  • Travel to supplier and customer sites as needed for development and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
Experience
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as:
  • 8D
  • A3
  • 5 Why
  • Fishbone
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and AIAG Core Tools.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
  • Experience conducting internal quality audits.
  • Background in one or more of the following areas:
  • Metals and machining
  • Plastics manufacturing
  • Electrical or software-related products
Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings.
  • Experience using metrology equipment and precision measuring tools.
  • Understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
