THE ROLE:

As Cafe Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day retail and cafeteria operations of Food & Nutrition Services, reporting directly to the Director of Dining Services. You'll lead people, manage performance, and deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Run daily retail and cafeteria operations

- Lead, hire, train, and develop hourly team members

- Plan and execute special events and functions

- Manage cash controls, payroll, and financial reporting

- Drive customer satisfaction through service, quality, and efficiency

- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and corporate standards

- Train staff on customer service, portion control, and cashier procedures

- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports

- Enforce cash-handling policies to protect company assets

- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

- B.S. degree in Food Services, Hospitality, or related field preferred

OR A.A. degree with 3+ years of related experience

- 1-3 years of retail food service management experience

- Experience managing cash retail operations

- Strong leadership and team development skills

- Knowledge of food trends, cost controls, sanitation, and presentation

- P&L or contract food service experience a plus

- Retail marketing experience preferred

- Solid communication and organizational skills

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, email, and online systems
