Job Description Summary Position Objective:

Under the direction of the Government Sales Manager, the Government Sales Specialist works closely with all divisions of Sunbelt to develop new business within the Federal Government Sector and provide sales support to field territories.

Position Responsibilities:

Understanding of all levels of government and procurement process

Understanding of all levels of government buyers

Major focus on Developing new business

Have knowledge of GSA and other various Federal contracts

Interact with existing government customers to increase revenue

Interact with broader Sunbelt field teams to develop business

Great organization skills and ability to work independently

Maintain and nurture relationships

Develop brand recognition to government customers

Work closely with all divisions of Sunbelt Recognize industry trends and attend applicable shows and events

Capture all governmental opportunities within the territory

Secure/Manage Federal equipment rental/purchasing contracts within the Eastern USRequirements:

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma + 3 years work experience or College degree and 2+ years work experience2 years in a sales role, government experience a plus1+ years experience using a CRM (Salesforce)
Basic Microsoft Office and Wynne Rental Man (a plus but not required)
Teamwork skills

Comfortable calling on office and field site locations

Must be eligible to access federal facilities and military bases

Ability to travel 50%-60%, including overnight and occasional weekends.

Willingness to be available on an on call basis during times of natural disaster and emergency.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.

Base Pay Range: $40,000.Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and robust commission plan.
