HIRING IMMEDIATELY: Sunstates Security is currently hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, and Flex Campus Safety Patrol Officers in the Savannah, GA area. Pay starts at $17/hr with weekly pay. All shifts, including weekends, are available.

• Three (3) years of verifiable driving experience.
• One (1) year of Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.
• Full Covid-19 vaccination preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods and distances.
• Must always be accessible for phone communication.
• Mentally analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
• Read and understand written instructions; communicate information clearly and concisely.
• Willing and able to work holidays and weekends.
• Willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to work independently.
• Clean background; able to pass a pre-employment evaluation and random drug screenings.

• Patrol assigned areas on foot, in an assigned motor vehicle, or other specialized vehicle to ensure personal, facility, and access control security.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper functioning; use keys to open and close buildings; monitor closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities.
• Inform and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or non-compliance with policy.
• Provide escort services for visitors, students, staff, and faculty as necessary; provide other public assistance such as jump-starts and routine information.
• Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders as required.
• Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approach suspicious persons and/or notify police as appropriate; may confront and/or detain violators until police arrive.
• Perform periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or streetlights to ensure proper functioning; report malfunctions as required.
• Patrol and monitor assigned parking areas and/or parking garages to provide public security and assistance.
• Prepare routine, standardized reports.
• May provide specialized security in a special operational area, requiring specific knowledge of the operating environment.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
