Security Officer

About the role

Our team at Recess Hotel & Club is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and confident Security Officer to join our Security team at our luxury urban resort. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, members, visitors, and team members.

• Monitor surveillance systems and patrol assigned areas to identify potential safety concerns, security risks, or unauthorized activities.
• Provide a visible and professional presence throughout the property.
• Interact professionally with guests, members, visitors, and team members while providing assistance when needed.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, guest concerns, and service requests.
• Conduct inspections of access points, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety and security standards are maintained.
• Assist with enforcing property policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Support emergency response efforts and follow established safety and security protocols.
• Monitor and report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with team members and department leaders to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
• Assist with key control, lost and found procedures, and other security-related responsibilities as assigned.

• Previous security, hospitality, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance systems, and access control systems preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and commitment to hospitality.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform physical activities throughout the workday.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Ability to uphold resort standards of safety, security, and guest service.
• Excellent presentation and grooming standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move banquet equipment as needed.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business demands.
