Concrete Finisher
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher with proven skills in commercial flat roof applications. This role involves preparing, placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on commercial systems—including pads, structural decks, rooftop equipment pads, tapered concrete, and other elevated concrete work. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and able to perform high‑quality finishing in elevated environments.
Key Responsibilities- Set forms, prepare substrates, and ensure proper reinforcement on commercial structures.
- Place and finish concrete including pads, walls, lots and roadways, structural decks, sloped/tapered concrete for drainage.
- Perform troweling, edging, broom finishing, and surface texturing as required.
- Repair spalls, cracks, expansion joints, and other rooftop concrete deficiencies.
- Mix, pour, and level concrete while maintaining proper slump and consistency.
- Work safely on all commercial settings and coordinate with crews to ensure proper sequencing and substrate protection.
Operate power trowels, screeds, floats, grinders, and other finishing tools; utilize saws for cutting joints and performing concrete demolition when necessary; maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Safety & Compliance- Follow OSHA, company, and site‑specific safety protocols at all times.
- Use fall protection, PPE, and elevated‑work safeguards.
- Report hazards, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- 3+ years of concrete finishing experience required.
- Experience working on commercial settings including flat roofs is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete curing methods, leveling, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and layout diagrams.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- OSHA 10 or higher
- Fall Protection Training
- Aerial Lift/Boom Lift Certification
- Concrete Finisher or Trades Certification
Competitive hourly wage based on experience; the pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
