Description Position SummaryA Field Service Technician for our Savannah branch provides service and repair for large-capacity forklifts and heavy material handling equipment at customer facilities. This role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable repairs that keep customer operations running smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair large-capacity forklifts and heavy industrial lift trucks (diesel, LPG, and electric)
Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment status
Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications2+ years of experience repairing large forklifts or heavy material handling equipment preferred
Experience working with multiple brands of high-capacity lift trucks preferred
Strong mechanical, electrical, diesel, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
